For the first time, two hyper brands have come together ― Japanese craftsmanship in denim and American college style in sportswear. Excelling in their own styles, both brands play important roles in the Hip-Hop street culture. They win the hearts of rappers in Japan, the US and other regions where Hip-Hop rules. This US-Japanese collaboration is definitely worth waiting for. EVISU has kept abreast of fashion trends in recent years. In addition to original denim, the latest EVISU collection also sports the Japanese Hi-Street style and highlights sports elements. This rendezvous with CHAMPION’s sports elegance is a natural progression. The design team was inspired from the theme song Champion performed by The Roots at the 2016 NBA Playoffs, giving rise to a superlative joint collection: MOVE LIKE EVISU.

As the name implies, MOVE LIKE EVISU is packed with youthful vitality. EVISU has made a choice between denim and sports fabrics. There is no trace of denim in the entire collection. In its place are combinations of cotton sports fabrics, fleece and textured terry for robust energy and vibrancy. Separates like tees, sweaters, baseball jackets and sweatpants from the top quality range Reverse Weave® of Champion, and put the spotlight on thermal functionality.

Silhouettes stress the perfect unison of EVISU and CHAMPION heritages: A tee flaunting “MOVE LIKE EVISU 91” in college print on the back; sweaters, zip-up jackets and sweatpants in true varsity flavour or even in the great American white, red and blue. Playful details spell the DNA of young irreverence. One prime example is EVISU’s iconic Godhead. This legendary motif is blended into the star pattern featured in this season’s CHAMPION collection, and appearing in a bold new faceless image added with the signature Seagull. Core colours are black, white, grey, blue and red, all mainstays of the EVISU and CHAMPION palettes, spiced up by seasonal hues like mustard and khaki.
